- As a Chiller Technician, you will lead maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of our HVAC fleet, focusing primarily on large tonnage air conditioning systems and chillers. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Serving as the primary technician for large tonnage air conditioning systems and chillers, responsible for troubleshooting, pre-deployment testing, and repair services on-site.
- Undertaking special projects, including researching obsolete replacement parts and assessing refrigeration conversion options for existing equipment.
- Acting as a key contact during the transition of our rental fleet to remote monitoring systems.
- Mentoring and training new Chiller and Service Technicians, especially those at Mobile Air/Resolute branches and depots, to foster skill development and enhance team collaboration.
- Contributing technical expertise and operational support in our Turnkey program for chiller and large air conditioning rental installations.
- Performing any other duties as assigned, showcasing flexibility and commitment to team objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in HVAC, Refrigeration, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience (5-7 years) with large tonnage HVAC and chiller equipment.
- Proven track record in diagnosing and repairing complex HVAC systems and chillers, with a solid understanding of system applications.
- Universal Certification is required.
- Strong consultative and leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to guide and develop team members.
- Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems, with experience in data entry and reporting.
- Preferred: 1-2 years of experience in a purchasing or supply chain role and prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in computer use, including internet navigation, email communications, order-entry systems, and relevant software applications.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage tasks effectively and prioritize responsibilities.
- Positive attitude with strong professional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs. using safe lifting practices.
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug test to operate company vehicles.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) are mandatory.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
- This position may require working a rotating on-call schedule and being available for evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak seasons. Travel may also be necessary. Overtime and double-time pay rates apply for applicable hours worked.
