Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Payer Enrollment Specialist to manage the payer enrollment and maintenance process for all anesthesia providers. This role is critical in ensuring seamless provider credentialing, enrollment, and compliance with payer requirements.Key Responsibilities✅ Manage and maintain provider profiles in Availity, PECOS, and NPPES
✅ Assist with CAQH maintenance for Illinois anesthesia providers
✅ Prepare and submit enrollment applications for new providers to commercial carriers, managed care organizations, and government agencies
✅ Process re-validations, re-attestations, and re-credentialing for all entities and providers
✅ Track enrollment progress and communicate updates to the Revenue Cycle and Clinical Operations teams
✅ Submit demographic changes to contracted/non-contracted payers as needed
✅ Resolve credentialing-related denials and authorization issues in collaboration with the Revenue Cycle team
✅ Complete and maintain EDI/EFT enrollments
✅ Add new facility locations to payer contracts and maintain W9s for all contracted entities
✅ Participate in company meetings, maintain documentation, and uphold AAC's core values of Caring, Tenacity, Collaboration, Integrity, and Adaptability
Education & Experience:
✔ Minimum 2 years of recent provider enrollment or credentialing experience
✔ Experience enrolling providers in government and commercial payers preferred
✔ Bachelor's degree preferred
Skills & Competencies:
✔ Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
✔ Comfortable navigating verification websites and hospital systems
✔ Strong verbal and written communication skills
✔ Ability to work independently and analyze processes for improvement
