WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
The physical environment requires the employee to work primarily inside and occasionally outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear; lift (overhead, waist level) from the floor, bending, frequently utilize near vision use for reading and computer use; occasionally move equipment weighing up to 15 pounds, and frequently position self to maintain computers or other equipment as needed.
While the primary duties of this job will be to work inside, the employee may be required to visit job sites for design verification. In addition to the above, this will also require the employee utilize personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to potentially hazardous materials; be able to handle semi-frequent stressful conditions (cardiovascular), sometimes work in outdoor weather conditions, occasionally ascend/descend a ladder, operate a motor vehicle, frequently position self to maintain equipment as needed.

Travel as necessary to support company and customer needs.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Designing and quoting cellular and ERCES In-Building Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS).
- Meeting with carriers (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Dish), AHJs, end users, facility managers, and equipment vendors.
- Reviewing the efforts of in-house installers and technicians.
- Reviewing and making decisions based on benchmark test results.
- Ensuring project progression from kick-off to completion.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, required.
- 5 Years of Wireless RF Engineering experience.
- Experience with IBWave / Atoll / Planet / Asset RF Modelling Software.
- Proficient with AutoCAD and/or Visio.
- Experience with Automated RF test Tools (TEMS, WIND, JDSU, Rhode&Schwarz, PC Tel).
- 5-15 years of Wireless RF Engineering experience with a focus on 5G NR, LTE, WCDMA, CDMA.
- In-depth knowledge of 5G NR / 4G LTE Protocol including KPIs, VoLTE, Layer 3 protocol troubleshooting.
- In-depth knowledge of Layer Management (A3/A5-1/A5-2/B1 Events) including hysteresis and time-to trigger, qRxLevMin, CSFB.
- In-depth understanding of Carrier Aggregation, MIMO, and Beamforming.
- Experience with LTE Design with iBWave, MapInfo, Atoll, Planet, Wizard, or Asset.
- In-depth understanding of Uplink Ue behavior and Ue Tx Power.
- Understanding of impacts of poor SINR / RSRQ and mitigation of poor SINR / RSRQ.
- In-depth understanding of Passive Intermodulation (PIM).
- Experience with creating RF Link Budgets. RFDS and/or Plumbing Diagram experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of IFC / NFPA regulations for Public Safety RF systems
- Understanding of techniques to prevent and mitigation BDA oscillation.
