Mobile Communications America, Inc. (MCA) is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer for our Security Division to support our Charlotte, NC area. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Meeting with customers to evaluate and analyze their needs, objectives, and requirements.
- Reading and understanding specifications, generating appropriate designs, and responses sufficient to meet project specifications.
- Engineering, designing, and creating bill of materials and technical data for pre-bid and post-award.
- Defining and developing system solutions, system architecture, and interface/integration requirements.
- Developing alternative system design concepts and value engineering.
- Writing technical scopes of work and proposals; delivering and presenting proposals as needed.
- Performing pre-sales presentations and scope reviews.
- Creating drawings for submittals and As-Builts, and maintaining standardized drawing packages.
- Ensuring design applications meet current codes and local jurisdiction requirements.
- Assisting in problem resolution and technical troubleshooting when field support is needed.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Strong general engineering acumen in security, electronics, communications, electrical, mechanical, construction, and IT networking.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of life-safety regulations, codes, and local jurisdiction requirements.
- A strong desire for continuous learning and professional education.
- Working knowledge with security manufacturers such as Lenel, AMAG, Genetec, S2, and RS2.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
