Job Title: Industrial Equipment Technician
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Equipment Technician to support plant operations by installing, maintaining, moving, and dismantling industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work Coordination: Organize work by reviewing work orders, blueprints, diagrams, manuals, and specifications. Gather tools, supplies, and coordinate schedules with other departments.
- Installation: Set equipment foundations, assemble components, align and secure parts, and establish power or control connections.
- Equipment Dismantling & Relocation: Disassemble components, disconnect power sources, and prepare equipment for secure transport. Fabricate custom shipping brackets or parts as needed.
- Maintenance & Repair: Troubleshoot breakdowns, perform routine maintenance, follow standard operating procedures.
- Welding & Rigging: Execute welding tasks (MIG/TIG/Stick), perform precision rigging for heavy machinery installation and removal, and ensure equipment alignment and safety.
- Conveyor System Expertise: Maintain, repair, and install various types of conveyor systems used in manufacturing or distribution environments.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean and hazard-free worksite. Follow company safety procedures and legal regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
: Maintain and operate hand and power tools. Ensure all tools are functioning correctly and safely. - Documentation: Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records for all machinery and repairs.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with best practices and industry standards by participating in training and development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in:
- Conveyor systems maintenance and installation
- Welding (certifications a plus)
- Rigging and moving heavy equipment
- General industrial mechanical maintenance
- Ability to work 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM as needed
- Available every other Saturday
- Willingness to travel to different sites or plants as needed
- Strong understanding of industrial safety practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficient with mechanical and inspection tools
- Physically capable of lifting heavy loads and working in various environments
