Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a specific focus on crafting delicious food, especially with pizza. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Line/prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive high-quality meals that meet our standards for taste and presentation. Interest in working in food trucks (2), highly recommended. Willing to go out and do events as needed with trucks through out season. Able to drive a truck and trailer is highly recommended as well.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook items according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored, adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicers safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including workstations and cooking equipment.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs for restocking.
- Assist in menu development by contributing ideas for new recipes or specials.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and preparation.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with dietary department standards is a plus.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is essential.
- Experience in catering or fine dining environments is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to take direction from kitchen management.
