This position is primarily within the Intensive Care Unit and periodically will FLOAT to ED, Med/Surg, or Peds in case of low census. Provides Nursing Care to critically ill patients. The Registered Nurse performs a variety of responsible nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments and the ability to work independently in completing assignments. Guidelines include doctors' orders, standards of care, nursing policies and procedures manuals, and hospital policies. Nursing duties include the provision of inpatient care and support in the 5 Bed I.C.U. to individuals of all ages and their families. After-hours recovery of post-op general surgery, pediatric, & OB patients as needed.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION
Shift: 0630 - 1900 Days 1830 - 0700 Nights 6 - 7 shifts per pay period with floating to PACU, ER, and Med/Surg
COVID Exemptions: We do not accept religious exemptions. If a candidate submits for a medical exemption, we will have to get approval from our medical review board to proceed with onboarding.
Orientation***: Every two (2) weeks only.
Housing***: must be submitted 2 weeks before the start date
Fingerprinting***: must be submitted and cleared before starting! PLEASE SUBMIT THE CURRENT ADDRESS FOR THE FINGERPRINT PACKET TO BE MAILED VIA FEDERAL EXPRESS**
Additional Requirements***: MUST provide copies of current immunizations, negative Tb skin test proof of last two years, provide documentation of 2 MMR vaccinations, Tdap, and Flu shot. Clean background check, negative 10-panel drug screen within 7 days, all before arrival.

Experience
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION
- Must have three years of critical care experience
- An Associate Degree in Nursing is required
- Must have and maintain a current valid unrestricted Professional Nursing License (RN) to practice nursing in any state of the United States of America, The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States
- Must maintain current valid certification of the following throughout employment:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association must be completed within six (6) months of hire.
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) must be completed within 6 months of hire
- National Institutes of Health (NIH) – NIHSS – NIH Stroke Scale must be completed within 6 months of hire
