Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will manage all aspects of provider credentialing, including initial appointments, reappointments, credential audits, and clinical privileging for Medical Staff, Allied Health Professionals, and other providers. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of provider data using the MDStaff credentialing software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of provider credentialing and re-credentialing.
• Ensure timely license renewals for providers.
• Conduct primary source verification for new and existing providers.
• Maintain and update physician/provider records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Utilize credentialing software and databases for monitoring and maintaining provider information.
• Maintain consistency and accuracy in database entries.
• Provide backup coverage for team members as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in healthcare credentialing or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency with credentialing software (MDStaff preferred) and databases.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and credentialing standards.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Healthcare field experience required.

Work Schedule:

• Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• 8-hour workday.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
