Seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to work a Day Shift (Shift Begins at 6:30 am) Monday through Friday. In this role, you will assist the Nurse Manager in the overall administrative direction for the clinical practice of nursing and delivery of high-quality and efficient care to all patients using the services of this area.
- Shares 24-hour responsibility and accountability for all aspects of daily operational activity.
- Directly supervises nursing and technical personnel: Assesses proficiency of staff, coordinates daily staffing and scheduling needs of the department, Evaluates staff performance, and Counsels staff members when performance issues are identified.
- Participates in all hiring, promotion, salary adjustment, and termination decisions. Functions as a highly clear role model, demonstrating quality expertise and professional behaviors that support the professional development of staff and the strategic goals of the hospital.
- Identifies and develops strategies to improve the overall knowledge base and integrity of staff.
- Directs, mentors, and supports all levels of staff on the floor.
- Identifies potential future leaders and engages in succession planning.
- Analyzes administrative and operational functions; implements appropriate changes and system-wide improvements.
Experience:
- Must have at least 5 years of appropriate clinical and leadership experience
- Operating Room experience required.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Nursing required. Master's required within 5 years.
- Current RN licensure required
- Current Certification required. (CNOR certification) If selected, the candidate will within six months of the start date, successfully complete the professional certification.
