Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Exercise Physiologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physiology and experience in outpatient settings, focusing on patient care and health coaching. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical fitness and health status.
- Develop individualized exercise programs tailored to each patient's needs and goals.
- Monitor patients during exercise sessions, ensuring safety and proper body mechanics.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create effective care plans.
- Provide health coaching to motivate patients towards achieving their fitness goals.
- Utilize Epic software for patient documentation and tracking progress.
- Perform EKGs as needed, interpreting results to guide exercise prescriptions.
- Educate patients on the importance of physical activity in managing their health conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certification as an Exercise Physiologist (e.g., ACSM or equivalent).
- Experience in an outpatient setting is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, body mechanics, and patient care practices.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly Epic.
- Ability to perform EKGs and understand cardiology principles.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient service and education.
- A passion for helping others improve their health through exercise and lifestyle changes.

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
