Position: Guest Services Associate
Location: Pittsfield, MA
Hourly Rate: $20 - $25/hr (W2)
Job Description:
This role is responsible for the safe and timely transport of patients and their belongings to and from inpatient rooms, care areas, and during discharge. Additionally, the associate will greet family members and visitors, escort them to various locations throughout the facility, and screen visitors to ensure the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors. If necessary, discreetly notify security about VIP visitors.
Additional Requirements:
- Familiar with transport equipment such as stretchers, oxygen tanks, and hospital/ICU beds.
- Ability to follow instructions and perform repetitive duties.
- Willingness to complete assignments with a high level of quality and consideration for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Ability to receive constructive feedback professionally.
- Effective communication skills and ability to use communication devices such as telephones, computers, barcodes, and pagers.
- Works well with various units and departments within the hospital community.
- Full knowledge of hospital ethics and policies as they relate to the role.
Required Skills:
- 3 years of current experience working with the public.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
- Hospitality experience is strongly preferred.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to comprehend, speak, and write in English.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
- Must have adequate sight and hearing or use prostheses to meet the requirements of the position.
Shift:
- Evening Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
- 8-hour days, 40-hour weekly guarantee
Job Types: Temporary, Contract
Pay: $17.72 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:
- Hotel experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Current experience working with public: 1 year (Preferred)
