Job Summary:
Support Health Services and Utilization Management by acting as a liaison between members, physicians, and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review service requests for accuracy and gather clinical/non-clinical data.
- Handle pre-certification requests and route cases for clinical review.
- Communicate with members and providers to coordinate and clarify cases and benefits.
- Assist with claims and policy-related issues.
- Authorize services based on established scripts (non-clinical reviews only).
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma required; some college preferred.
- Experience: 1-2 years in customer service or healthcare support preferred.
Skills:
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with contracts, billing, and managed care is a plus
Training:
Training onsite, hybrid position. Mon-Fri 8:30-5:00.
Should be able to go to Hopewell, NJ Site, once a month
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
