- Perform a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and critical thinking.
- Requires initiative to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis.
- May be assigned independent responsibilities by the Lead Technologist Administrative Director Operations Manager or Facility Director. Proper care of the client by the departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required.
- May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel or as determined by the Manager or Director.
- Excellent communication skills in written verbal and Tiger Text format required.
- Practices infection control in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Demonstrates proper operation of PACS HIS and RIS computer systems.
- Completes annual mandatory education to include bloodborne pathogens infection control and body substance isolation.
- Maintains department competencies as required.
