Travel Echo Sonographer (Peds)

Job Title: Echosonographer
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Duration: 3 Months (with Possible Extension)
Travel Weekly Gross: $2,573 - $3,100
Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM) with potential shift rotations discussed upon onboarding

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform pediatric echocardiograms (TTE, stress echo, and assist with TEE) per CHOP lab standards.
• Maintain expected daily volume and respond promptly to urgent cases.
• Prepare preliminary reports, ensure accurate billing, and transmit studies.
• Provide patient care in a safe, clean, and confidential manner while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Deliver age-appropriate care to pediatric patients and their families.
• Participate in staff meetings, research studies, quality assurance initiatives, and working groups.
• Assist in training students, fellows, and new technicians.
• Follow hospital and departmental policies, procedures, and cost-control guidelines.
• Travel to multiple locations if required.

Skills & Qualifications:Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric echocardiography experience
• Strong knowledge of:
• Ultrasound physics and instrumentation
• Pediatric cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology
• Transthoracic echocardiography (TTE)
• Operating ultrasound equipment and digital reporting software
• Ability to travel between multiple work locations

Preferred:

• 5 years of pediatric echocardiography experience
• Participation in national, international, or original research studies

Certification Requirements (Must Obtain Within 12 Months of Start Date):

• One of the following certifications is required:
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer – Pediatric Echocardiography (RDCS-PE) (ARDMS)
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer – Adult Echocardiography (RDCS-AE) (ARDMS)
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) (CCI)
• Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) (CCI)
