What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Financial Counselor position at Mobile Health Team LLC?
Duties:
- Evaluates the patient’s ability to pay for services. Creates payment arrangements via cash, check, credit card or payment plan as appropriate.
- Utilizes the Epic estimator tool to provide estimates and collect up front payments, deductible and copays.
- Interviews patients at bedside, on the phone or in the office to determine eligibility for financial assistance.
- Completes and approves or submits completed applications for charity care, Medicaid and 501R.
- Obtains insurance information, checks eligibility for active coverage and updates patients accounts accordingly.
- Answering and returning phone calls and other general office tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills:
- Charity Care experience preferred
- EOB experience
- Medicaid experience
- Up front cash collection
- Bilingual required- English and Spanish speaking
Education:
- Completed High School/GED
Schedule Notes:
- 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
