Job Title: School Psychologist
Contract Group: Alexander County Schools
Location: 700 Liledoun Rd, Taylorsville, NC 28681
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results to identify students' learning and behavioral needs.
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to support student learning and mental health.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to create individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral support plans.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students as needed.
- Support school teams in implementing best practices in student mental health and special education services.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in School Psychology.
- License: Valid North Carolina State License as a School Psychologist.
- Experience: Previous school-based experience preferred; candidates without school experience must submit a cover letter explaining their interest and steps taken to prepare for a school setting.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
