About Mobile Loaves & Fishes
Mobile Loaves & Fishes (MLF) is a social outreach ministry that has been empowering communities into a lifestyle of service with the homeless since 1998. Founded in Austin, Texas, the organization serves its homeless neighbors through three core programs : Truck Ministry, Community First! Village, and Community Works. Often referred to as the most talked about neighborhood in Austin, Community First! Village is a 51-acre master planned development that provides affordable, permanent housing and a supportive community for men and women coming out of chronic homelessness. We are now embarking on a new phase of community expansion, adding more than 1400 new neighbors over the next 5-10 years.
About the Role
Mobile Loaves & Fishes (MLF) is positioned for significant growth over the next five years, aiming to scale its operations and expand its capacity to lift an additional 1,400 formerly chronically homeless individuals into permanent supportive housing and community at Community First! Village (CFV) in Austin, TX. The Manager of Data Operations will play an integral role in this growth, leading data assessment, collection, and reporting efforts. This position, situated within the Community Empowerment team, will support programs and departments organization-wide.
The Manager of Data Operations will evaluate current data, recommend improvements for collection and reporting, and collaborate with internal partners to ensure data is accurate, impactful, and aligned with their needs. As MLF continues to grow, this position will also expand to manage a team of other data specialists and system managers ensuring MLF's data infrastructure is robust, scalable, and capable of supporting both current and future needs.
This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Senior Manager of Community Engagement. Some nights and weekends may be required. The Manager of Data Operations will office at Community First! Village located at 9301 Hog Eye Road, Austin, TX 78724.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead all data programs and initiatives to ensure maximum impact and effectiveness in collection, reporting, and data-driven organizational change
- Define, set, and track key measurements for the Relationships & Giving, Neighbor Care, and Community Empowerment teams in collaboration with department and organization leadership
- Responsible for all monthly reporting of Community Empowerment key metrics to Executive Strategy Team
- Oversee data collection and cleaning efforts across key programs and functions
- Stay apprised of any emerging changes and trends in data management systems
- Introduce new data collection and analysis tools as needed
- Collaborate and build relationships with the other primary data functions across the organization
- Develop and drive project management of strategic plans and organization-wide data initiatives
- Assist in the development of a data roadmap and long-term strategy
- Lead and supervise the Data Team
- Other duties & responsibilities as needed
