What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver Assistant position at Mobile Lumber & Building Materials?
Mobile Lumber is seeking to hire a Driver Assistant to assist with local deliveries of millwork and building materials in Baldwin County, Mobile County and the NW FL panhandle. THIS POSITION REQUIRES PHYSICAL STAMINA AND STRENGTH.
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 65 lbs on your own
- Must be able to lift/carry heavier weights with assistance
- Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, climb and kneel repeatedly
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen
- Great attitude and ability to work well with others
Responsibilities:
- Assist with loading and unloading local deliveries at jobsites
- Walk path of vehicle at jobsites to determine best path for vehicle
- Direct driver onto and off of jobsite while spotting potential hazards
- Operate truck lift gates, hand trucks, pallet jacks and other related material handling equipment
- Ensure cleanliness of jobsite prior to leaving
- Assist at warehouse as needed
- Represent Mobile Lumber in a professional, friendly, and helpful manner
- Provide customers with a WOW customer service experience
This is a full-time position in an uncontrolled temperature environment up to 6 days per week.
