What are the responsibilities and job description for the Millwork QC Service Technician position at Mobile Lumber & Building Materials?
The Millwork QC Service Technician installs and provides service work for products sold to customers by Mobile Lumber & Millwork in the field with minimal supervision.
JOB DUTIES:
- Follow all safety requirements. Report any and all unsafe conditions of working environment.
- Safely operate a company vehicle following all safety requirements of our driver handbook.
- Install or repair interior doors, exterior doors, windows, and or sliding glass doors.
- Replace sidelights, glass inserts, window or door glass, door panels.
- Repair thresholds and exterior/interior moulding on doors or windows as needed.
- Troubleshoot issues on the job site.
- Efficiently manage time and schedule appointments.
- Communicate in a professional manner with contractors, home owners, and customers concerning work to be performed or already performed.
- Maintain inventory of company provided materials and parts used.
- Complete paperwork for each job daily and turn in.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have own tools.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Must pass drug screen.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including over time and some weekends.
- A willingness to travel outside of territory on rare occasions.
- Must be willing to maintain a professional appearance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS include but are not limited to:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
- Must be able to lift up to 150 lbs with assistance.
- Continuously stand, squat, bend, stoop, twist, climb, reach, walk and kneel.
