What is Mobile Medical?
Mobile Medical is full-service in-home primary and psychiatric care to the home-bound/home-limited patient population, focusing on total patient care.
What does a Mobile Medical Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner do?
A Mobile Medical Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner provides medical house calls for a variety of psychiatric tasks. Some tasks include:
- Examine patients and their medical records
- Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays, etc.)
- Diagnose behavioral health conditions and illnesses
- Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions
- Provide psychotherapy to patients
- Manage patient medication
- Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics, and prevention
- Partner with local home health agencies
- Maintain compliance with HIPPA and Health Care regulations
What are the qualifications for a Mobile Medical Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner?
- Master's Degree in Nursing with a concentration in psychiatric care
- National Board Certification and State of Employment license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role
What skills are required to be a Mobile Medical Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner?
We are a specialized group of advanced practicing nurses treating patients in their homes. Proven skills are required for the effective administering of evidence-based care. Some of those skills include:
- Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a psychiatric outpatient clinic, psychiatric in-patient/hospital, other settings
- Expertise in psychiatric care
- Knowledge of health and patient care regulations
- Excellent communication skills
What shifts are available?
Patient visits take place Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to create your schedule. This provides the opportunity for a more consistent work/life balance.
