What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Tech for Mobile Vet Practice position at Mobile Pet Vet?
Mobile Pet Vet is a small, privately owned, traveling veterinary practice serving the Anne Arundel County, in Maryland since our inception in 2003. We are seeking a full-time registered and/or experienced veterinary technician to join and collaborate with our growing care team.
Over the years we have built a great culture and work together to provide excellent patient care and customer service in an ever-growing niche of the veterinary field. A successful candidate will have a growth mindset embracing technology (GE Ultrasound), services (Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine), and skills (our SOPs are written by our team, for our team!). A passion for problem solving and a willingness to share your knowledge, experience, and compassion with our patients, clients, and fellow team members is a must.
Preference given to candidates who possess their RVT license, but will also consider candidates with 2 years’ experience in a veterinary setting. In addition to licensure and experience, candidates should be proficient with, but not limited to; venipuncture, knowledge and experience with various diagnostics and cytology, knowledge of current veterinary products/inventory used, as well as the ability to provice excellent client communication and focus. Comfort driving the mobile office (Sprinter van) is also required.
We realize time spent outside of work with family or friends is important; Mobile Pet Vet is open Monday-Friday, and closed nights and weekends. (No long evening or weekend hours!). Position qualifications:
- RVT license and/or 2 years’ experience within a veterinary setting: required.
- Low stress/fear free restraint.
- Experience with phlebotomy.
- Experience with various diagnostics and cytology.
- Excellent client focus and communication.
- Accurate management of electronic records.
- Knowledge of various veterinary products, protocols, and vaccines
- Valid driver's license and comfort operating company van.
