MSS is hiring an experienced, skilled and reliable CNC Machinist for our client in Tampa. Must have a minimum of 2 years experience programming & operating CNC Machines sush as : LATHE, MILLS, & SAWS. Ability and desire to work overtime and weekends as required.

Pay range : $21- $30 an hour

MUST HAVES / SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC :

• Formal training in programming and operating CNC machines preferred.
• Minimum 2 year experience operating CNC machines highly desired
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Capable of holding close tolerances required.
• Can use and understand inspection tools and interpret blueprints.
• Mechanical and mathematical knowledge preferred.
• Ability and desire to work overtime and weekends as required
• Effective writing and communication skills
• Capable of managing and completing multiple tasks accurately and expeditiously
• Detail-oriented
• Close attention to accuracy
• Operate a forklift
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize work independently and establish goals and objectives with little or no supervision
• Must have good math skills
• Must have good understanding of CAD / CAM technology—good mechanical and technical skills
• Must have the ability to recognize when there is a problem and communicate the existence of a problem with expedience.
• Must be able to Operate overhead and jib cranes
• Sets up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting chucks, magnets, vices, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, stock pushers; indicating vices and tramming heads.
• Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling, and threading operations
• Takes measurements, detects malfunctions, troubleshoots processes, adjusts and reprograms controls, sharpens and replaces worn tools.
• Machines parts to specification, measuring testing or examining in-process product for defects to ensure conformance using precision instruments like micrometers.
• Aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto the machines.
• High School Diploma or GED
