Mobile Staff Solutions is now hiring for a skilled Welder Helper / Material Handler in the Lakeland area! This is a temporary to permanent position with a hourly range of $16 - 22 per hour.
Responsibilities : Material Handling :
Retrieving metal pieces from storage based on welding project requirements.
- Transporting materials to the welding station using forklifts or other material handling equipment (if certified).
- Organizing materials to facilitate easy access for the welder.
- Checking material quality and reporting any defects.
Welding Preparation :
Cleaning and prepping metal surfaces to be welded, including removing rust, slag, and debris.
Welding Assistance :
Holding metal pieces in place during welding.
Post-Welding Tasks :
Grinding and cleaning welded joints to remove excess material and slag.
