What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student and Financial Aid Services position at Mobile Technical Training?
Federal Financial Aid Assistant/Student Services
Looking for a student services coordinator who will assist our financial aid department, enjoys working with people, and helping others. You must be detailed oriented and have the ability to multi-task. You will be reporting to the lead financial aid representative and providing support to our students. The main duties will include:
- Explaining to students/parents the school tuition and financial aid process.
- Providing customer service to students and parents. Demonstrating a caring and sincere attitude at all times.
- Assisting students/parents with payment plan options to cover any remaining balances.
- Processing tuition payments on due dates.
- Extensive follow up to obtain missing documentation and verification of documents.
- Monitoring attendance/grades, and Student Progress in school.
- Motivating students and working side by side with instructors when students need to follow policies.
- Enforcing attendance, punctuality, and school policies as needed.
- Assist with student incident reports and ensure policies are being followed.
- Assisting students who are having a hard time in class or showing irregular attendance.
- Assisting and Coordinating Graduation Events
Requirements:
- Must have College Background: min. Associates Degree
- Must Speak Spanish and English fluently
- FAFSA application experience
- Must be available to work on Saturdays when needed
- Must know how to use microsoft office, excel, power points, pdf. etc.
- Must be reliable and consistent
- Must have extensive customer service skills and the patience to deal with people
- Encouraging and Sincere Attitude
- Must have the ability to troubleshoot and fix problems independently
- Must have the ability to make decisions and demonstrate a confident attitude at all times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 per week
