What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Service Manager position at Mobile Techs Auto Repair?
BASIC PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:
The objective of the Shop Manager position is to help continue the transformation of our business to the next level. This position is responsible for managing direct reports, providing input on strategic business strategies and hiring to ownership.
OVERALL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with owner to optimize ratio of management / technicians for maximum profit. Expansion requests will require approval from ownership.
- Morning Prep Meeting with teams
- Weekly review with team on monthly invoicing and cash to set daily targets for the following week
- Inventory management including core returns
- Quality Control – Maintain Q/C process for both the shop and the road
- Drive Accountability within team and processes to achieve the following business metrics
- Build tickets to invoice
Shop
- Inspection Report and Call within 24 Hours
- 2 Day Vehicle Turn on normal repair
- No longer than 1 week turn if parts an issue
- Do not exceed more than 1 return every month
Mobile
- Efficiency – Have truck ready for morning and hit road at 8
- Plan the day for proper tools
- Next Day Service Available always
Qualifications
- Proven experience in inventory management and retail sales
- Strong management and team leadership skills
- Proficient in shop systems
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Familiarity with purchasing and inventory control processes
- Ability to negotiate and orient employees effectively
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $62,500.00 - $70,000.00 per year
