Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a background in Home Health (HH) to join our rapidly growing home healthcare agency.
The Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and performing skilled interventions in the patient's home.
- Provides services within the scope of practice as defined by the state laws governing the practice of nursing, in accordance with the plan of care, and in coordination with other members of the healthcare team. May not alter the plan of care.
- Completes a progress note for each visit, and submits progress notes to the agency daily.
- Continually observes and reports the patient's nursing needs. Instructs the patient's family in the care of the patient and maintenance of a healthy environment for the patient.
- Observes, records, and reports to the supervising nurse and/or physician the patient's response to treatment and changes in the patient's condition.
- Provide care in patients' homes using a variety of skills such as phone triage, patient education, observation/assessment, wound care, infusions, catheter care, PICC line dressing changes etc.
Requirements
- Current RN licensure in the state of Florida
- Current Driver's License, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle
- Possess and maintain valid BLS certification.
- Complies with accepted professional standards and practice.
- Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills
