Home Medical Specialist

Expectation Of Work Hours:

• Full-Time Part-Time

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Answer multi line phone system.
• Retail customer service
• Inventory
• Cash handling/POS system

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to assist patients with home health products, understand reimbursement and insurance requirements, good phone and computer skills.
• Skills: Basic MS Excel, Word
• General knowledge of government, regulatory, company billing and compliance regulations/policies for Medicare, Medicaid.
• Two years of experience in insurance office, doctor’s office or home medical department preferred.
• High school education required
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Required Knowledge/Experience:

• Knowledge of computers and telephone
• Instruct customers or caregivers on use and hazards related to equipment and options available to them.
• Data entry and customer experience.
• When equipment is returned, assigned staff sanitizes, inspects, and refurbishes or repairs and labels and returns to inventory. Proper training provided.
• Basic understanding of insurance billing of products available in home health. Staff will work closely with billing office.

Competency Requirements:

• Home Health Competency.

Physical Demands:

• Sitting, standing, walking at desk in home health setting.
• Operation of office machinery and computer
• Occasionally lift/move items up to 20 pounds
• Visual abilities to include, for extended times, reading, distance vision and peripheral vision

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Required)
