Position Summary : The Fleet Specialist is responsible to represent the full line of commercial vehicle solutions offered by the company and fully understand the multiple end users with fleets of fifty (50) or more vehicles. Understand competitive landscape, market dynamics, buying cycles and procurement methods of the fleet department.
Essential Job Functions and Duties :
Develop, manage and successfully execute a business plan for the fleet area.
Accountable for assigned goals both in revenue and units.
Ability to adjust and pivot based on present and future market conditions.
Develop a pipeline for current and future revenue opportunities.
Research current and prospective clients via the internet and open-source tools such as : Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, Sales Genie and other online resources.
Effectively train on products to demonstrate options in person and virtually.
Utilize CRM system, Salesforce, daily to keep client activity records up to date and provide management with information.
Be performance and goal driven and think outside the box.
Always comply with DRV's Core Values.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications and Entrance Requirements :
College Degree or High School Diploma or equivalent plus five (5) years fleet sales experience.
Minimum of two (2) years outside sales or field sales experience.
Highly effective communication skills with a compelling phone presence.
Ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
Able to work independently as well as with a team and collaborate with internal and external customers.
Good energy and a positive attitude.
Maintain a valid driver’s license.
Candidates must successfully complete criminal and motor vehicle background check and pre-employment drug screening.
Physical Demands / Work Environment :
Able to function capably in an office environment using standard equipment (telephones, fax machines, computers, copiers, etc.).
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Occasional lifting and / or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
Must be able to complete office-related physical activities (walking, standing, talking, hearing, pushing, reaching, seeing, stooping / crouching, smelling, depth perception, identifying colors) as needed.
Experience working remotely and independently.
Ability to travel 60% of the time and work both local, regional, and national events as needed.
Participate in required company safety programs, trainings, and PPE guidelines.
