MOBILTEX is seeking an ambitious and motivated professional to join our business development team as the adoption of critical infrastructure monitoring continues to grow. The successful candidate will have a background in the energy industry and ideally has experience in business development within the IIoT and / or software sectors.
This role will be responsible for driving the adoption of MOBILTEX’s emerging software solutions for regulatory compliance, as well as pulling through hardware device sales that support the software. This position is an exciting chance to join a growing company in the IIoT space with the opportunity for career development and diversification.
Core Responsibilities :
New Business Development
- Creation and execution of annual business development plan and strategy for the new product segment, including how business development in the segment supports the growth of CorTalk Hardware products.
- Manage and execute on the software sales funnel, including the development of new opportunities.
- Organize and lead direct business development activities such as presentations, product demos, client meetings and workshops, solution scoping meetings, participation in tradeshows, and other direct client interactions.
- Effectively plan and prioritize business development activities and client meetings to achieve agreed-upon sales targets.
- Support Mobiltex channel partners as needed with business development expertise and client education.
- Quantify revenue opportunity size and keep updated opportunity records in Salesforce for forecasting.
- Work collaboratively with the Mobiltex Sales Team (U.S. & Canada) within regional strategy efforts specific to software solution deployment and opportunity maturation.
Account Management
Effectively identify and strategically manage hardware software solution opportunities working with relevant account team.Lead and participate in strategic account reviews with sales team and other Mobiltex stakeholders, as it relates to the implementation of software.Build client organizational maps and develop relationships with important stakeholders within strategic accounts, as it relates to the implementation of software solutions.Develop and lead execution of quarterly action plans for strategic accounts working towards a long-term revenue goal.Map out total client revenue opportunity and long-term forecasts for strategic accounts.Participate and contribute to sales strategy meetings with Mobiltex sales, marketing, and leadership teams.Iterate on Mobiltex’s go-to-market approach for the solution, working collaboratively with Product Management and Leadership team.Lead commercial feedback efforts for Mobiltex software solutions that will support the prioritization of new features or software modules / applications.Identify sales process and sales strategy improvements and initiatives to contribute to a team-based culture of continuous improvement.Functional
Attend and participate in Mobiltex products and services training. Stay current with advancements in product functionality including new product launches.Accurate use of Salesforce as CRM tool to record progress and update opportunities.Attend weekly sales meetings with team; attend internal sales team meetings as needed; complete sales training as needed.Conduct business in an ethical manner in a way that represents the Mobiltex core values.Contribute to revenue forecasting and annual budgeting with the support of sales leadership.Core Competencies :
10 years of experience in the energy industry in business development, operational or related capacity.Fundamental understanding of CP and integrity monitoring solutions and IIoT devices / software.Strong experience with business development for SaaS and other software-enabled solutions.Fundamental understanding of IT systems and how SaaS is deployed in an enterprise organization.Client-first mentality with ability to identify and align to critical business issues for clients.Creative thinker with ability to develop innovative solutions rooted in an understanding of client problems / goals.Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).Self-motivated and eager to develop new business opportunities.NACE CP certification considered an asset.Engineering degree considered an asset.Completion of sales training program considered (Ex. Richardson Sales Performance, MHI Global, Challenger Sales Training).Work Environment and Requirements :
Must be able to travel up to 50%.Remote / Satellite office environment.Job Type : Full-time
