Description : Purpose :
The Commercial Specialist is responsible for Accounts Receivable analysis and management as well as interaction with commercial and technical key contacts to support the relationship with internal and external customers.
Requirements : Essential Duties :
- Accounts Receivable management & analysis generating all production-related billing including special billing adjustment and retro pricing.
- Conduct daily sales activities in SAP.
- Prepare month-end sales closings and correctly completes AR clearing.
- Resolve short payment issues with buyers and affected suppliers.
- Investigate and resolve purchase order pricing, billing, and payment discrepancies.
- Work synergistically with other departments not limited to Engineering, Quality, Production Control, and Materials, to resolve issues or receive backup documentation.
- Generate miscellaneous quotations for engineering requests, repair parts and CN, etc.
- Understand links between extensive commercial data and automotive assembly processes.
- Participate in various negotiations with various entities (customers / supply base / internal)
- Assist with commercial activities & responses to customers / supply base issues.
- Perform special assignments as delegated.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities
Education / Skill / Experience Requirements :
College degree with 1 or more years of experience or equivalent. Must have analytical and data acumen and able to learn and apply commercial concepts in the Automotive industry.
Excellent oral / written communication and interpersonal skills required.
SAP knowledge, Microsoft Office skills required, Advanced Excel knowledge preferred. Strong problem-solving skills.
Finance, Accounting, or business major preferred.
