Description
To provide necessary support for the successful launch of new Stellantis programs and general improvements, following Mobis' standards and objectives. The Industrial Engineer plans, directs, and coordinates internal and external processes in the industrial plant by performing the following duties.
Requirements
Essential Duties :
- Develops, evaluates, and improves internal and external material flow methods.
- Analyzes and plans workforce and utilization, floor space, and material flow.
- Design layout of equipment and operator workspace.
- Consults with part suppliers and / or vendors to engineer and develop material handling equipment, storage solutions, and packaging and evaluate / tests the product to ensure specifications and meet quality standards.
- Time study analysis through simulation of material flow throughout the plant.
- Calculation of operator staffing requirements.
- Calculation of fleets and management of returnable packaging.
- Confers with management and other staff regarding materials processes to support and facilitate overall plant efficiency.
- Continually update PFEP for engineering changes and material planning.
- Performs other and / or special assignments as delegated.
