Position Summary
The BSA Quality Control Assistant Manager at MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC (MNAe) plays a critical role in ensuring strict adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements throughout the production process. This position involves the analysis of quality control data for in-process products, and final products. The Assistant Manager is responsible for performing detailed root cause analyses of any deviations or non-conformances and generating comprehensive reports to support continuous improvement efforts. Additionally, the role requires close collaboration with customers and vendors to address quality issues and ensure alignment with their quality expectations. A key focus of this position is on data analysis, trend tracking, and identifying patterns to proactively address potential quality concerns. By ensuring the effective implementation of quality assurance policies and procedures, and working in tandem with cross-functional teams, the Assistant Manager plays an integral part in sustaining and enhancing product quality while cultivating strong relationships with external stakeholders.

Quality Control and Assurance:
- Ensure accurate documentation of quality control processes and procedures, including the development and continuous update of control plans, work instructions, and special characteristics management plans, in alignment with revised Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Collaborate in the creation of essential quality documents, such as work instructions, procedures, and flowcharts, ensuring clarity, compliance, and adherence to industry standards.
- Leverage expertise in data analysis tools such as Excel and PowerPoint to effectively compile, analyze, and present quality-related information, including trend analysis and performance metrics.
- Monitor product quality, repairs, workmanship, proper labeling, and part allocation, ensuring strict adherence to established quality standards.
- Oversee torque audits utilizing Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts, data forms, and the Torque Auditor tool to ensure consistent compliance with quality standards and process controls.
- Prepare and present daily, month-to-date, and annual quality reports, providing insightful analysis and tracking trends to support decision-making by the management team.

Data Analysis and Trend Tracking:
- Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to track quality trends over time, identify potential issues, and recommend corrective actions based on data-driven insights.
- Maintain a focus on identifying patterns in quality metrics, ensuring proactive solutions to mitigate recurring issues.

5-S Standards Maintenance:
- Ensure compliance with 5-S standards within the Quality Control Department to maintain organized, efficient, and safe working environments.

Performance Management and Oversight:
- Make critical, time-sensitive decisions during assigned shifts, demonstrating autonomy and the ability to act independently to ensure operational efficiency, consistent quality, and adherence to company standards.

- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and management regarding operational, safety, and quality concerns, fostering an environment of collaboration and problem-solving.

- Ensure and promote adherence to workplace safety standards and practices at Mobis.

- Contribute to cross-functional process improvement teams, help implement improvement plans and assess the effectiveness of quality initiatives.
- Coordinate and conduct supplier audits for qualifications or process changes to ensure alignment with quality standards.

Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant area, with a strong preference for expertise in data analysis, quality control, quality assurance, mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing sectors.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of Quality Management systems, including implementation and maintenance, as well as auditing and assessing both internal processes and supplier/customer relations.
- Proficiency in data analysis, with the ability to apply analytical techniques to identify trends, assess quality metrics, and recommend improvements.
- Expertise in training techniques, including the ability to design and deliver effective training programs.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to analyze situations, identify root causes, and implement actionable solutions.
- Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC), Six Sigma methodologies (Black/Green Belt), and other quality tools to drive process optimization and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and industry requirements, particularly in automotive manufacturing.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines while maintaining a keen attention to detail.
- Proven leadership skills, with experience in motivating and leading cross-functional teams to achieve quality and operational excellence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and other relevant software applications for data analysis, reporting, and presentation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a solid understanding of mechanical processes.
- Critical thinking and sound judgment, with the ability to analyze complex situations and make informed decisions.
- Strong decision-making abilities and the capability to take decisive action under pressure.
- Basic understanding of reading blueprints and interpreting part specifications, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Working knowledge of Six Sigma (Black/Green Belt).
