Position Summary :
The QE Team member will, under general supervision, perform QC tests as required by following sampling instructions to evaluate products in various stages of completion. The QE team member helps perform investigations / analysis of problems, and assists with implementing countermeasures, while minimizing impacts to production. Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation as necessary. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by employing 5S principles.
Essential Functions (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
- Monitor, inspect, and report on the quality of products, repairs, workmanship, proper labeling, allocation, and staging of parts received from suppliers and manufactured internally.
- Perform QC tests on products in various stages of completion and perform minor repairs according to established procedures.
- Maintain good quality processes and 5-S standards within the QC Department
- Review all analysis reports with supervisor and produce reports as necessary.
- Enter all data into the laboratory reporting system (QMS).
- Attend all training and train QC personnel as requested
- Position requires the ability to work overtime in excess of 40 hours per week.
- Position may require job rotation between different positions and shifts.
- Monitor and maintain QC equipment and tools, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning properly.
- Comply with and promote company practices in the areas of safety, human relations, quality, cost, housekeeping, and delivery targets for area.
- Ability to work assigned shift (2nd shift) or, as needed, the afternoon shift based on business requirements
