Join Our Team – Mobius has an exciting position for a cybersecurity analyst directly supporting Missile Defense Agency’s Wargames and Exercises Directorate (MDA/DTW). Mobius provides professional engineering and analysis expertise supporting various government agencies to solve some of the nation’s most challenging problems. The Cybersecurity Test Analyst is an Information Technology/Information Systems Cybersecurity specialist position responsible for coordinating with MDA Exercise and Wargame teams to develop distributive exercise and isolated wargames cybersecurity strategies, cybersecurity policies, and mitigation recommendations supporting the unique network environments in DTW. The candidate will identify technical capability priorities to optimize the organization's defensive cybersecurity posture within the MDA DTW domain. This position will support DTW Test Bed operations by utilizing Missile Defense Advanced Simulation (MDASIM), Extended Air Defense Simulation, Open Architecture Systems Sensor Models (OSM), and Trajectory Generator External (TGx).
Qualifications:
- Analyze cyber vulnerabilities, cybersecurity effectiveness, and operational environment analysis to determine impacts, risk, and/or overall effectiveness and system resiliency of the Exercise and Wargame environment.
- Assist DTW in the implementation and management of MDA’s Software Assurance (SwA) program aligned with Agency requirements, DoD directives, policies, and standards such as NIST 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and DoDI 5000.02
- Coordinate and integrate cybersecurity strategies, policies, directives, and guidance to develop cybersecurity operational requirements that support MDA DTW’s missions
- Coordinate and develop MDA documentation for MDA DTW’s mission at locations throughout the world
- Provide recommendations and necessary data, based on threat analysis, to allow the Exercise/Wargame teams to make informed decisions concerning the security posture of the DTW’s exercise networks and systems
- Analyze information from external data sources (e.g., cyber defense vendor sites, Computer Emergency Response Teams, Security Focus) to understand cyber-defense threat conditions; identify which security issues may impact MDA DTW’s mission in supporting the Combatant Commander and provide recommendations to improve MDA DTW’s cyber security posture
- Synchronize and integrate cyber security plans with the strategies and policies of the Combatant Commands, services, and agencies as required.
- As needed, candidate may perform duties as a DTW Modeling and Simulation Analyst supporting DTW Test Bed and Combatant Commanders Distributed exercises
- Utilize MS Teams/SharePoint applications to provide timely, accurate updates to databases and webpages

- Familiar with DOD INSTRUCTION 8510.01 RISK MANAGEMENT FRAMEWORK FOR DOD SYSTEMS
- Familiar with reading and interpreting architectural network diagrams Layers 1-3.
- Familiar with NIST Special Publication 800-series
- Familiar with the DoD’s Joint Life Cycle (JELC) process for training and exercises
- Able to quantify and conduct logical reasoning as it pertains to technical products/processes *(key requirement)
- Able to communicate professionally, verbally and in writing *(strong writing skills is a key requirement)
- Familiar with MS Office suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint)
Education
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Systems/Technology (IS/IT) or related technical degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the assessment and authorization of information systems; 2 years of additional experience in systems/network administration (5 years total experience) may be substituted for the BS degree requirement
- CompTIA Security (CE) or higher required
