The employee will possess exceptional leadership, entrepreneurial, and organizational skills to successfully help operate a learning center through marketing, sales, instructional leadership, parent communication, staff management, effective administration, and an emphasis on curriculum planning.
Position Summary:
The Mobius Assistant Director/Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for promoting Mobius’s mission and core values. The AD helps manage the facility to make sure that it adheres to the Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS) standards and compliance regulations. The AD is also responsible for creating new curriculum, planning monthly calendars, training staff to successfully implement curriculum and other responsibilities that are curriculum-related.
The AD joins the Instructors to provide instruction and feedback to instructors when no additional administrative tasks are to be completed. In addition to ensuring compliance and instructional support, the AD is involved with training, coaching, and developing the instructors to achieve top performance in their roles.
Role:
- Positively interact and engage with parents, building rapport, establishing trust, answering any inquiries, and demonstrating appreciation for their support of Mobius.
- Lead, train, and support instructors.
- Build relationships with team members in order to motivate and lead them effectively.
- Assist students and Instructors with exceptional experiential learning by providing them with the educational material they need in an activity-based environment.
- Take accountability/ownership of decisions, actions, choices, and outcomes.
- Create and Implement curriculum to support the STEAM vision of Mobius.
- When needed, help the Director manage all aspects of Mobius compliance, including staff training hours and student and staff records, ensuring that Mobius is adhering to the Arkansas Department of Human Services standards.
Tasks Performed:
- Coordinate with team members to ensure student health and safety is a priority at all times.
- Help manage the overall program environment, paying close attention to detail and effectively managing the flow of students, parents, customers, and team members.
- Manage staff engagement and ensure instructional staff frequently interact with students to answer questions or provide additional assistance.
- Delegate Instructional leadership duties such as age groups or specialty rooms to appropriate positions and team members.
- Watch for and recognize security risks.
- Create new STEAM-based curriculum differentiating for different age groups at the center
- Create and organize monthly curriculum calendars
- Train and guide instructors to effectively deliver the STEAM curriculum in the classroom, ensuring they are engaged and asking questions
- Help create a platform that will house the curriculum for easier use
- Order all project supplies and facility supplies to keep the center running smoothly
- Accurately report supply orders adhering to Mobius’s set monthly budget.
- Be available and respond promptly to inquiries about Mobius.
- Provide exceptional customer service to potential students and their families through professional conduct and answering any questions.
- Respond to potential enrollments in person, by phone, and potentially by email, to follow up with Mobius families.
- Make parents feel welcomed on the phone, in person, and through email to foster and maintain a positive, engaging experience.
- Actively seek to satisfy customers'/parents’ needs and requests by providing exceptional customer service and re-aligning expectations to increase customer satisfaction and retention.
- Send communication and opinion polls to parents (current, inactive, and leads), updating them about Mobius programs, events, activities, and co-promotions to gain feedback for Mobius programs.
- Conduct appropriate onboarding training for new Instructors.
- Motivate and encourage Instructors to excel in their role through positive reinforcement and best practices of experiential learning methods.
- Coach and train Instructors on how to interact with parents and students appropriately and positively.
- Be a role model for instruction and customer interaction, demonstrating exceptional customer service through effective student instruction and parent/customer interaction.
- Increase operational efficiencies through new learning and experimentation to improve and engage students in the Mobius experience.
- Monitor and manage self-performance utilizing overall program performance, customer service, enrollment targets, and parent/student satisfaction poll data as success indicators.
People First Leadership:
- Conduct appropriate onboarding training of new Mobi Instructors to ensure dress code and provide them several Mobius polos shirts.
- Motivate and encourage Mobi Instructors to excel in their role through positive reinforcement and best practices of experiential learning methods.
- Coach and train Mobi Instructors on how to interact with parents and students properly and positively.
- Be a role model for instruction and customer interaction demonstrating how to provide exceptional customer service through effective student instruction and effective parent/customer interaction
- Increase Mobius operational efficiencies through new learning and experimentation to improve and engage students in the Mobius experience.
Self-Management:
- Monitor and manage self-performance utilizing overall center performance, customer service, enrollment targets, and parent/student satisfaction poll data as success indicators.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $37,500.00 per year
