Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Micro Soldering Technician to diagnose, repair, and replace HDMI ports and other micro-components on gaming consoles such as PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. The ideal candidate has strong experience in micro soldering, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for electronics repair.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HDMI port issues on gaming consoles using diagnostic tools and visual inspections.
- Perform micro soldering to repair or replace damaged HDMI ports and other small components with precision.
- Utilize specialized equipment such as hot air rework stations, soldering irons, and microscopes.
- Conduct quality assurance tests on repaired devices to ensure functionality and reliability.
- Keep a clean and organized workspace while adhering to ESD safety protocols.
- Communicate repair progress and findings to customers or team members.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and customer interactions.
- Stay updated on advancements in repair techniques and gaming console technology.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in micro soldering and electronic repair, specifically with gaming consoles.
- Proficiency in using soldering irons, hot air rework stations, and precision tools.
- Ability to identify damaged components and trace circuit pathways.
- Knowledge of HDMI port designs and replacement techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and technical aptitude.
- Familiarity with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic equipment is a plus.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in electronics repair are preferred.
Preferred Experience
- 2 years of micro soldering and console repair experience.
- Experience repairing other common gaming console issues, such as power supplies or GPU reballing.
- Familiarity with PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch hardware.
Compensation

Work Environment
This role is based in a repair workshop environment. Candidates must be comfortable working with small components under magnification for extended periods.
Schedule
Part-time, Monday to Friday, with potential for occasional weekend hours depending on workload.
