At Mobotrex Inc, we engineer, manufacture, and sell a wide range of standard and custom traffic control products across America. We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Assembler to join our team in Powhatan, VA. The primary objective is to assemble and wire traffic signals enclosure panels.
Job Description
The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, with manual dexterity for wiring, mechanical aptitude, and experience with powered and un-powered hand-tools. They should be able to work 40 hours weekly from Monday to Thursday with a daily schedule of 6:00am to 4:00 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read point-to-point electrical diagrams, blueprints, and/or bullet point instructions when required
- Cut to length, strip, tin, and crimp wire
- Use powered and un-powered hand tools such as screwdrivers, wire cutters, crimpers, and wrenches, drills, shear
- Interpret available blueprints, diagrams, and instruction bullet points and assemble sub-assemblies
- Accurately eliminate and route wires at the designated locations as described by an electrical diagram
- Solder wires to specified points
- Complete inventory tracking paperwork
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts
- Complete cross-training opportunities in other areas
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED and/or relevant electronics/assembly experience
- Must have an aptitude for electronic control equipment
- Must be able to pay attention to detail consistently
- Must be able to work in a team environment
