Mobridge Regional Hospital has an opening for a full-time Registration Clerk,
We are looking for someone with great people skills and a positive attitude to be the face of our great organization.
The Registration Clerk is responsible for greeting and directing in-coming patients and visitors cordially and professionally. Working cooperatively with all levels of staff and the general public in a positive and professional manner. Applicants should have excellent computer skills, as the position requires the ability to work proficiently in several different operating systems.
This position requires attention to detail and accurate documentation of all situations which include:
- Processes patient transactions, transfers, discharges and ER Admissions.
- Checks and reviews patient charts in the EMR system for accuracy and needed signatures.
- Processing incoming and outgoing telephone calls efficiently and professionally. Handles telephone inquiries with courtesy and accuracy. Distributes messages as necessary.
- Demonstrates an understanding that patients, medical providers, visitors and other hospital employees are all customers.
- Answering phones and transferring calls appropriately.
- Working in the Electronic Medical Record, updating patient information, scheduling appointments, etc...
The Registration staff are the initial point of contact in the facility for both patients and guests, and therefore must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Demonstrating professional behavior dealing courteously with customer issues and working to expedite positive solutions.
This position requires working on weekends and holidays, on a rotating basis.
