Nurse Interns must be enrolled in a BSN program, and have successfully completed the program requirements with no more than two semesters remaining. Candidates for the Internship must have a 2.8 GPA or higher.
After applying it is necessary to follow up with two letters of reference, a letter of intent, and a current transcript.
The internship is an eight (8) week program with a guarantee of 32 hours per week. The interns have the opportunity to pick up additional hours as an aide if 40 hours is preferred. Internship begins in the first week of June.
Preceptor experience begins the second week of June and runs for eight (8) weeks.
Each Intern is assigned a mentor. and the internship schedule will mirror their mentor's schedule.
Mentors change halfway through the internship to expand on their types of experiences gained.
The goal of Mobridge Regional Hospital is to give our Nursing Interns as many nursing experiences as possible by working different shifts in a variety of departments including Medical Surgical, OB, ICU and ER.

Mobridge Regional Hospital also offers scholarships specifically for individuals planning to return to our facility as an RN.
