The Account Director is a trusted partner to clients, providing proactive business recommendations, navigating complex challenges, and inspiring teams to deliver bold, results-driven campaigns.
You will drive collaboration across strategy, creative, media, and production, ensuring seamless execution across multiple workstreams. You thrive in fast-paced environments, balancing the nuances of established brands with the dynamic energy of new business pitches. What You'll Do
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, acting as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor, including senior level executives.
- Strategic Oversight: In partnership with Strategy Lead, develop and execute comprehensive account strategies that align with client goals and objectives, ensuring a clear understanding of their business needs and challenges.
- Creative Leadership: Collaborate with creative teams to inspire innovative ideas and ensure that campaigns are strategically sound and creatively compelling.
- Social Media Expertise: Strong understanding of social media platforms to enhance brand presence and engagement, providing strategic insights and recommendations for content, paid advertising, and community management - with the support of the Social Media Team and strategists.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about industry and social media trends and developments in the tech and automotive industries to provide clients with relevant insights and competitive advantages.
- Project Management: In support of Project Manager and Account Supervisor, oversee the execution of campaigns, ensuring timely delivery, budget management, and adherence to quality standards.
- Performance Analysis: With Social Lead, monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, providing clients with detailed reports, key takeaways and actionable recommendations for optimization.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, being the senior lead on Account Management, creative, strategy and social media, to ensure seamless execution of campaigns and alignment on objectives and efficient and profitable.
What We're Looking For
- 7 years of experience in account management or a related role within an advertising agency
- Proven track record of managing high-profile, social and/or integrated client accounts and delivering successful campaigns
- Strong understanding of advertising principles, strategies, and tactics
- Strong strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills
- Strong experience in social media marketing, digital advertising and production
- Knowledge and interest in the tech and automotive industries is desirable
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams and a proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
- Proficiency in project management tools (Basecamp) and industry standard software and tools (Office 365, Google) and technologies
- Must live in Pacific time zone and work from office 2-3 times per month
Bonus Points For
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field. Experience in tech, automotive and/or hospitality is a plus
Compensation Benefits
- Annual salary: $120,000 – $150,000 – The final salary offered will be dependent on factors such as experience, location, and budget.
- Benefits include generous paid time off, including 10 holidays, six sick days annually (for FTE), subsidized health insurance (medical, dental, vision), short/long term disability, fertility/family planning benefits, 401(k) with company match and more.
- Hybrid schedule; minimum two days per week of remote work
