About The Role
As the Founding Revenue Cycle Manager at Mochi Health, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the healthcare revenue cycle, from patient intake and insurance verification to claims processing, payment collection, and denial management. About The Role
As the Founding Revenue Cycle Manager at Mochi Health, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the healthcare revenue cycle, from patient intake and insurance verification to claims processing, payment collection, and denial management. You’ll ensure efficient operations, optimize revenue capture, and ensure compliance with industry regulations though a period of extreme growth, establishing practices, protocols and systems to guarantee success. You will be reporting to the Head of Clinical Operations.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement RCM strategies to maximize revenue, improve cash flow, and reduce claim denials.
- Oversee billing, coding, claims management, and payment posting to ensure timely reimbursements.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare billing regulations, including HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and payer policies.
- Manage provider credentialing and payer enrollment to maintain in-network participation and minimize reimbursement delays.
- Monitor key RCM performance metrics (e.g., days in accounts receivable, denial rates, cash collection) and drive improvements.
- Evaluate RCM software solutions for increased efficiency and collaborate with our Product and Engineering teams to bring improvements to fruition.
- Hire, train and develop RCM and billing staff to maintain high performance and compliance standards.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance or a related field.
- 7 years of experience in revenue cycle management, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-10), and insurance payer regulations.
- Familiarity with the Affordable Care Act and Preventative Billing Codes
- Experience with EHR/RCM software such as Epic, Cerner or Athenahealth.
- Proven ability to analyze financial data, improve revenue performance, and manage large teams.
