FOH Team Member

Join our front of house team and be part of the action every day. You'll learn to do it all - from making great coffee and packing mochi donuts to keeping the place clean - while chatting with guests and working together with your teammates.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively as part of a small dynamic team

• Exhibit proficiency in Cafe production tasks, including but not limited to:

• Operate point of sale system

• Learn about all our offerings, sourcing, and cooking techniques to share with guests.

• Managing assembling online sales orders

• Operating cafe equipment like a grinder, espresso machine, coffee brewer, dish washing machine

• Washing and sanitizing dishware, cooking equipment, food machines, and various kitchen equipment

• Report issues, guest feedback, and questions

• Making and frying mochi donuts (optional)

• Training new hires (optional)

• Be a floater for the BOH (optional)

• Demonstrate the ability and self awareness to know when you need your supervisor or fellow employees to help you

• Maintain kitchen organization and sanitation standards

About You

• Interested in quality coffee, drinks, mochi donuts, and our other product offerings

• Possess strong interpersonal skills, exhibiting tact, patience, and courtesy

• You approach work with consistency, quality, and care.

• You are able to keep track of and effectively complete tasks.

• Resourceful and able to respond to issues that arise creatively, efficiently, and effectively

• Our business is in a growth phase, you are able to adapt to frequent changes and reprioritize tasks based on the shifting priorities.

• You can multitask like it’s an art form and keep your cool when work gets busy

• You effectively manage and complete prioritized tasks within a set time frame.

• You are willing to make mistakes, learn and grow from them in a collaborative team environment

Qualifications and working conditions:

• Able to lift 40 lbs safely

• Must be able to stand for 8 hours at a time

• ServSafe and/or Allergen Awareness Certification is preferred

Compensation:

• Full-time hourly position

• Pay: $13-$18 per hour plus pooled tips, depending on experience

Paid Time Off:

Hourly employees receive accrued PTO days (up to 40 hours/ 5 days for employees working 40 hours per week), and Holiday PTO (40 hours/5 days per calendar year).
