Intelligence Database Specialist I
The Mid-States Organized Crime Information Center (MOCIC) has an immediate opening for a full-time Intelligence Database Specialist I. This is a non-exempt position. MOCIC is an organization composed of member law enforcement and criminal justice agencies in the Midwestern United States working together to combat multi-jurisdictional criminal activities. As one of the RISS Centers, MOCIC assists local, state, federal, and tribal criminal justice agencies by providing adaptive solutions and services that facilitate information sharing, support criminal investigations, and promote officer safety.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual with criminal justice knowledge and computer skills.
Duties: Primary duties include providing support to the intelligence unit. We are looking for someone who has excellent keyboarding skills, attention to detail, and a good command of the English language. This position involves extensive data entry and requires someone who can rapidly and accurately enter data into a computer application.
Responsibilities include data entry in various RISS database products as well as quality control assignments. General computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel required. Criminal justice knowledge, training, or experience desirable. Excellent organizational and strong time-management skills, and the ability to maintain confidential information required.
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent, supplemented with additional training or experience in clerical skills from a college, university, vocational/trade school, or employment. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the desired level of knowledge, ability, and skill may be considered. Law enforcement or criminal justice experience is beneficial.
Location/Hours: Located in Springfield, MO and office hours are normally 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Flex schedule is considered after completion of probationary period. A flex schedule is dependent upon department needs and requires supervisor/manager approval. Travel may be required. Any questions please contact hr@mocic.riss.net.
Salary: The starting salary for this position is $37,101 plus benefits.
