Job Summary: The field service technician will provide on-site maintenance and remote checks for our customers’ Red Light Camera equipment. Under general supervision, the FST will be assigned to service, maintain, and operate photo enforcement equipment located at intersections in City of Napa. The FST is responsible for ensuring that the photo enforcement is operational and able to enforce intersections that he/she is assigned with minimal downtime. Job Description: Services cameras, video camera, and radar components FST will provide a quick response to resolve any camera and photo enforcement equipment issues Every camera will also be visually inspected for graffiti or damage as the FST drives the route with the equipment he/she is responsible for. If any maintenance is required, the FST will obtain the parts and equipment necessary, using company inventory, for quick replacement as needed. Install and conduct Pilot programs, leading to contract expansion Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains various types of machinery/products/equipment, including communication devices or systems and camera or automated ticketing systems, etc. Operates in the field on-call or provides technical support to assigned customers. Identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures. Maintains work order documentation, technical schematics and diagrams. Troubleshoots hardware, software, and/or network operating problems. Uses basic and specialized test equipment/software to diagnose and analyze difficulties Troubleshoot related communications problems; e.g., in a LAN\WAN environment, IPv4 addressing and subnetting, basic knowledge of router & switch interfaces, applying a knowledge of cat5\coax wiring, standard\shielded cable connections and wire closets/MAUs. Takes appropriate corrective action, interfacing with vendor, carrier, client and staff as necessary Sets up, assembles, installs, configures, reconfigures, modifies, moves and/or relocates hardware/software at Traffic Equipment site locations. Ensures upgrades are configured and installed on schedule. Uses standard hand and power tools and technical manuals. May work with multiple vendors, manufacturers, etc. Maintains work order documentation, technical schematics and diagrams. May assist in providing training to other technicians.
