What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Coordinator position at Mode Music Studios?
As Mode & MMPA’s Human Resources professional, you will be at the forefront of our organization's commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive workplace. Your primary responsibilities will include managing HR-related tasks such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and benefits administration. You will collaborate with the Founder/CEO, Managing Director, and others in the organization to understand staffing needs, coordinate the hiring process, and support the development of a talented and diverse team. Additionally, you will play a key role in employee engagement initiatives, training programs, and maintaining HR records.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment, Onboarding & Offboarding, Professional Development
- Coordinates the recruitment process in partnership with hiring managers, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling and conducting interviews, communication with applicants and relevant staff.
- Assists in organizing and documenting training sessions and professional development opportunities
- Coordinates and leads performance management processes including annual reviews, feedback conversations, performance improvement plans, and Teacher Tier evaluations
- Facilitates offboarding steps to ensure accurate documentation and communication.
Employee Relations
- Acts as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, fostering positive employee relations; assists in conflict resolution, serves as a mediator when needed
Record Keeping and Compliance
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date HR records including personnel files, attendance records, policies, protocols, and employee handbook, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Manages implementations and training in support of new or changing policies/protocols
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or previous experience in HR coordinator/related role
- Proven ability to effectively collaborate across teams in support of organizational mission and goals
- Strong organizational skills; meticulous attention to detail
- Experience providing positive and constructive feedback in an effective, clear, supportive manner
- Willingness to learn and to seek/act upon constructive feedback
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to connect and communicate effectively with a variety of people across all modes of communication
- Experienced with technology including GMAIL applications such as calendar, drive, docs and sheets; Zoom; iPad; iPhone, etc.
- Passion for making the arts accessible to a diverse community
Working Conditions:
This is an on-site role, that may occasionally require remote work, to support the various key responsibilities. Human Resources can plan to work approximately 20-25 hours/week. Working hours can be flexible, however, they must occur between 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays, require attendance at specific meetings, and may extend throughout the year for special projects. A significant amount of time will be spent on the computer. Facilitation of in person and remote meetings, both individual & group, can be expected.
