Overview:

Join our dynamic sales team as a Bus Sales Representative! In this role, you'll achieve maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment. You'll effectively sell our products and related services, personally contacting and securing new business accounts and customers.

Model 1 Commercial Vehicles is seeking a driven and dynamic Commercial Business Development Manager to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our commercial/specialty vehicles within a designated geographic territory. Your primary objective will be to achieve sales targets, build strong customer relationships, and contribute to the company’s growth.

  • Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for our products/services.
  • Conduct telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
  • Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics, and technical service groups.
  • Create and manage a customer value plan for existing customers, highlighting profile, share, and value opportunities.
  • Plan and organize personal sales strategy to maximize the return on time investment for the territory/segment.
  • Provide management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Stay up to date with product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends.
  • Participate in trade shows and conventions.


  • 3-5 years of experience in sales; industry experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to determine solutions for customers.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods and move around an office environment that may require movement in small areas.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
  • May be required to climb stairs when necessary.
