What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Attendant - 2nd shift position at Model Dairy LLC?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Approach work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset, and engaging in Model Dairy MissionOwn and promote a Safety Culture by ensuring a safe work environment and promoting proper safety behavior
Maintain Reefer Fuel Checks.
Understand the use of trailer refrigeration units.
Understand basics of food safety and documentation of trailer temperatures.
Monitor of fuel levels and trailer inventory.
Effective communication between multiple departments for different departments to perform different actions on trailers.
Movement of any 3rd party trailers
Understand equipment availability
Empty jug trailers from jug room and place in needed jug trailers
Ensure landing gear legs are touching ground before unhooking yard goat as well as ensure trailers are not parked high and not drop trailers off the yard goat onto the ground.
Monitor and report any equipment or product out of specifications.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
HOURS
Schedule may vary to accommodate the needs of the business
High School Diploma or GED.
Must be able to read, write and speak english
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multitasking
Strong ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, with all levels of employees.
Demonstrate the ability to solve problems, accept constructive feedback and show flexibility should
priorities and/or deadlines change
Must have the ability to use a phone application for mapping, work submissions, tracking,
timekeeping and electronic logs.
Preferred:
Previous yard experience
Education
Required- High School or better
