Essential Functions:
This position is responsible for:
Approach work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset, and engaging in Model Dairy Mission Statement to identify, value, prioritize, resource and sustain improvement opportunities.
Own and promote a Safety Culture by ensuring a safe work environment and promoting proper safety behavior.

Ensure that all team members are supporting cross functional relationships with a commitment to Operational Excellence.
Strategy
Develop sound strategic planning skills to develop training programs that meet operational and individual team member needs. Review current skills and assess the skills required to meet future business goals. Help lead overall training strategy with leadership and prepare plans to meet the needs of individual departments within the overall Operations framework.
Budgets
Prepare and control budgets required to deliver the training strategy. Includes resources, materials, etc. They may also hire external training consultants to deliver programs that they cannot cover themselves.
Administration
Must maintain and analyze training records. Analyze feedback from trainees to ensure that they are satisfied with the quality of training. If they identify problems or lack of progress against objectives, they adjust training programs.
Ensure that supervisors are managing to meet or exceed established operating budgets/KOIs.
Work closely with Human Resources to establish weekly, monthly, quarterly check-in with new hires – working toward a 90% retention rate at key intervals of 90/6 month/1 year intervals.
Develop and train supervisors into high performing group that work effectively together and cross functionally.
Ensure all team members are trained, including, but not limited to SOP training with proper documentation and performance evaluations.
Leads training in GMP, sanitation, and safety inspections throughout Reno division and issue the corrective action plan to correct any identified deficiencies.
Work closely with Safety Manager to ensure training programs are continually enhanced. Including updating and creating JSAs.
Carry out all duties in accordance with Model Dairy policies and all applicable state and federal laws.
Develops, trainings and maintains all programs regarding regulatory compliance, (i.e. G.M.P.’s, HACCP, environmental, and bio-security).
Support operations with special projects and well as be a resource for plant improvement projects.
Promote and maintaining company teamwork in all areas. Assisting others and performs other tasks as appropriate and or necessary. Helps the positive image of the company in the trade.
Train all team members on maintaining appropriate dress and personal appearance standards.
Excellent attendance and punctuality is an essential function of this positon.

- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- 3 years progressive experience in a key leadership role, preferably within a food processing environment.
- Strong ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated strong leadership, team building and advanced coaching skills.
- Highly motivated, results oriented, driven.
- Strong administrative skills, including ability to utilize Microsoft office, project management software, ability to effectively budget and analyze data both simple and complex.
- Ability to effectively teach to different levels within the workforce embracing the different learning styles of people
Education
Preferred- High School or better
