Your Role:

You’ll specialize in Multi-Function School Activity Buses (MFSABs) and Daycare Buses, building relationships with key stakeholders like state regulators, DOT inspection centers, and local fleet buyers. Your mission? To position Model 1 as the premier provider for customized vehicle solutions in the region.

Responsibilities

Your Responsibilities as a Regional Product Sales Specialist

In this dynamic role, you’ll wear many hats, combining market expertise, relationship management, and sales strategy to position Model 1 Commercial Vehicles as the go-to provider for tailored solutions in the Greater Dallas/Ft. Worth market.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Master the Details: Develop deep expertise in state inspection processes, vehicle specifications, and purchasing requirements for key market segments, including daycare centers, preschools, and private schools.
  • Target Key Decision-Makers: Identify and pursue opportunities with businesses, mid-to-large fleet owners, and decision-makers at both the corporate and local levels.
  • Build Strategic Relationships: Cultivate connections with state regulators, fleet managers, and purchasers through in-person meetings, calls, trade shows, and other touchpoints.
  • Collaborate on Custom Solutions: Work closely with internal sales teams to craft proposals and marketing materials tailored to fleet purchasing specifications and requirements.
  • Track and Analyze: Maintain comprehensive records of state-specific product specs, purchasing timelines, and budgets. Share insights with the sales and marketing teams to refine strategies.
  • Showcase the Product: Lead vehicle demonstrations, including ride-and-drives, to highlight how our vehicles meet and exceed customer needs.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep up with emerging technologies, industry regulations, and market trends to provide informed, consultative guidance to customers.
  • Provide Feedback: Gather insights from fleet buyers to inform stocking strategies and uncover new business opportunities.

Relationship Management

  • Build Loyalty: Forge strong, long-term relationships with customers, dealers, and industry influencers.
  • Engage Regularly: Conduct product demonstrations, training sessions, and meetings to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Share Opportunities: Collaborate with the retail sales team by identifying and distributing valuable leads.

Sales Performance and Reporting

  • Embrace the Hunt: Approach each day with a hunter mentality, proactively seeking out new opportunities in your territory.
  • Exceed Goals: Consistently hit or surpass monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and revenue targets.

  • Deliver Insights: Prepare detailed sales reports, forecasts, and market analyses to keep leadership informed and agile.
  • Adapt and Innovate: Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and customer feedback to continuously refine your approach and uncover growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Your Skills and Qualifications

    We’re looking for a talented, results-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-focused sales environment. Here’s what you’ll need to bring to the table:

    Experience

    • Sales Expertise: Minimum of 3 years of proven sales experience engaging with a diverse range of customers. Industry experience is highly valued.
    • Segment Knowledge: Familiarity with Multi-Function School Activity Buses (MFSAB), Daycare Buses, and similar vehicles is a significant advantage.
    • Established Connections: Existing relationships with state regulators and local fleet buyers are a big plus.

    Skills and Attributes

    • Analytical Mindset: Ability to quickly absorb and apply complex information about vehicle specs, regulations, and purchasing processes.
    • Consultative Approach: Excellent communication and consultative sales skills, with the ability to engage professionally with all levels, including C-Suite executives and business owners.
    • Driven and Independent: Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
    • Tech Savvy: Proficient in CRM platforms, the MS Office suite, and other essential sales tools. Competency with MS Teams and Zoom is required for remote engagements.

    Additional Requirements

    • Travel-Ready: Must hold a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel extensively within the assigned territory to meet customers face-to-face.

    Physical Requirements

    • Work is primarily office-based but may include long periods of sitting and occasional stair climbing.
    • Requires good manual dexterity for computer and office work.
