The Position:
We are looking for a CNC Swiss machinist that can help establish the foundation for a new Swiss CNC organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup & Operation: Efficiently Set up and run Swiss CNC machines to make complex parts.
- Programming: Must have the ability to write and edit CNC programs for Swiss machines.
- New Product Introduction: Develop tooling, CNC Code and inspection methods for new products.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret engineering drawings to plan for the most effective manufacturing process.
- Quality Control: must have the ability to Inspect parts to ensure they conform to the print.
- Tool Optimization: Optimize tooling within the machine for wide range of parts with minimal changeover.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and Fix machine problems and adjust settings to keep production moving.
- Machine and Area Maintenance: Clean and maintain Swiss machines regularly to avoid downtime.
- Documentation: Record job setups, machine settings for production setups.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other machinists, engineers, and team members to meet goals.
- Training: Train operators and set up personnel on the operation of the machine.
- Safety: Follow safety guidelines and wear PPE to maintain a safe work environment.
About You:
- 5 Years of Swiss CNC experience including setting up, programming, and operation
- 10 years manufacturing experience.
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Experience with Star Equipment preferred (in depth knowledge)
- Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential
- Work with all levels of the organization to drive positive change and continuous improvement
